Assistant Director - Quallty Management

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate the organizations Quality Improvement (QI) and Risk Management OVA plans. Make recommendations that will foster a commitment to quality and safety.

  • Develop and implement an Integrated Management System (IMS) based on industry standards and best practices that focus on achieving the organization goals and objectives of providing quality health care.

  • Plan, organize, coordinate and lead Joint Commission International Accreditation for Hospitals and other accreditation selected by the organization.

  • Direct the analysis of clinical pathways to promote organized and efficient patient care based on the evidence based practice. Assess the effectiveness of implementation by cross functional teams to reduce the variability in clinical practice and improve patient outcomes.

  • Establish and implement metrics (process capability and quality measurement) for monitoring system effectiveness and to be utilized in decision making. Assess trends in Quality Improvement activities in the NGHA.

  • Review departmental regulations, policies and procedures apd make recommendations to management on methods to improve and conform to regulations. Educate staff on compliance issues, meets regularly with care providers to assess policy effectiveness and utilization issues.

  • As part of a team, review and track patient complaints and Sentinel events. Apply Root Cause analysis to determine fundamental breakdown or failure of processes and apply measures to resolve and prevent recurrence of the adverse event in a timely manner.

  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data on services provided and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) using various systems to determine the effectiveness and quality of care provided and to assess whether changes in the program are necessary to provide optimum health or improve quality of care in the most cost -effective manner.

  • As part of a team, generate informative statistical reports on KPIs.

  • Supervise Risk Management activities and environmental rounds. Coordinate assessment with teams responsible.

  • Collaboratively maintain supportive relationship with Hospital Administration and Medical Staff. Review and revise annual QI Programs.

  • Conduct needs assessments to determine the nature and extent of a wide variety of Quality initiatives ensuring compliance, accuracy and completeness. Provide information on improvement measures.

  • Participate in internal and external quality audits. Integrate and standardize Quality Management Systems process across the organization (design, implement and document procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection).

  • Perform departmental administrative tasks like staff supervision, mentoring, training, hiring, induction and annual performance evaluation. Also prepare annual budget, evaluate resource usage and implement cost reduction measures.

  • Perform other job related duties as required.

Qualifications/Education Required:

Bachelor Degree in Health Care profession (Nursiog, Pharmacy, Hospital Administration or other equivalent discipline) - Essential

MD (Preferred)

Master Degree in Health Care profession/Management or Business Administration or related (Preferred)

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or other relevant Quality Management Certification including CPHQ and others (Preferred)

English Language Skills - Level I - Essential

Arabic Language Skills (Preferred)

Experience Required:

Minimum of ten (10) years experience in related field, five (5) years of which in a supervisory capacity
