Summary

As a Senior Consultant in Interventional Neuroradiology, you will provide advanced minimally invasive procedures for patients with complex neurological conditions, including stroke, aneurysms, and vascular malformations. You will lead the interventional team, supervising junior consultants, fellows, and residents, while ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Beyond clinical responsibilities, you will contribute to service development, departmental planning, research, and teaching, supporting HMC’s vision as an Academic Health System. This role is ideal for an experienced interventional neuroradiologist with a strong record of clinical excellence, leadership, and academic engagement.

Education/Qualifications Required:

 

1. Basic medical degree from recognized institution
2. Post-qualification certification
   • Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.  
     • USA: American Board of Radiology (ABR) 
     • Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) – Diagnostic Radiology with Neuroradiology subspecialty
     • UK & Ireland: CCT in Radiology with Neuroradiology fellowship and GMC Specialist Register
     • Australia & New Zealand: Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) – Neuroradiology subspecialty
     • Western Europe: Equivalent board certification

Experience Post-Qualifications:

• Minimum (6) years of experience as a Consultant in Interventional Neuroradiology
• Minimum (1) year of senior experience 

License:

• Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Perform advanced image-guided neurovascular and neurointerventional procedures, including treatment of stroke, aneurysms, AVMs, and other vascular malformations.
• Supervise and mentor Consultants, Fellows, and Residents in interventional neuroradiology.
• Lead multidisciplinary case discussions with neurosurgery, neurology, and critical care teams.
• Contribute to departmental planning, service development, and clinical governance.
• Participate in teaching, training, and academic programs, supporting HMC’s Academic Health System.
• Conduct and support research, publications, and clinical trials in neurointerventional procedures.
• Develop and implement protocols, guidelines, and quality assurance measures for interventional neuroradiology.
• Provide senior-level decision-making during emergency neurovascular interventions.
• Promote patient safety, high clinical standards, and evidence-based interventional practice.
• Participate in on-call coverage for acute neurovascular emergencies.
