Summary

Within the mission, vision and values of Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs, responsible for assisting with technical aspect of invasive cardiac diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including angioplasty, valvoplasty, coronary angiograms, ablation, IVUS, pediatric device placements, pacemakers, AICD’s and other procedures as required.

Education/Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cardiovascular Sciences/Technology related discipline

Experience Post-Qualifications:

• Minimum four (4) years experience

License:

Current and in good Standing License/Registration 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting physicians with technical aspect of invasive cardiac diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including angioplasty, valvoplasty, coronary angiograms, ablation, IVUS, pediatric device placements, temporary pacemakers, AICD’s and other procedures as required.
• Scrub for all types of diagnostic and interventional procedures such as PTCA, stenting, atherectomy and rotablator ablation, pulmonary, aortic and mitral valve dilation, coarctation of aorta dilation, PDA closure with umbrella and coil occluders, foreign body retrievals, permanent pacemaker implantation and programming, etc.
• Ensure adequate medical supplies are available before starting procedure and report missing items to operator and cath lab manager.
• Ensure safe and efficient working equipment, reporting faults and problems through the appropriate channels. Coordinate all technical activities involved in the operation and maintenance of catheterization equipment.
• Adhere to quality improvement to achieve optimal patient results. Perform all duties in line with standards of clinical practice, patient safety, policies, procedures, regulating and accrediting bodies.
• Assure archiving of performed procedure immediately to archiving system.
• Perform other job related duties.
