Responsible to diagnose and treat physiological disorders and long-term illnesses.

Education / Qualification Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology
  • Associate Degree/Diploma in Clinical Psychology

Experience Post Post-Qualifications:

Minimum Two (2) years of experience post qualifications


Valid and in a Good Standing License in current country of practice

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To assist in delivery of care plans closely and under the supervision of Senior psychology staff in both community, outpatient and inpatient/residential settings
  • To undertake protocol based psychological assessments of clients applying psychological tests, self-reports measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations, and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care
  • To assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a client’s problems, under the supervision of a senior psychology staff in both community, outpatient and inpatient/residential settings
  • To work with other staff to assess inpatients, outpatients, day patients and other agencies and schools
  • In common with all clinical psychologists, to receive regular clinical supervision in accordance with professional practice guidelines
  • To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings
  • To contribute to the training and support of other staff or student in the psychology practice
  • To undertake data collection, analysis and the production of reports and summaries, using IT and statistical programs
  • To assist in the design and implementation of service developmental projects within the service as required
  • To undertake researches of evidence-based literature and research to assist qualified clinical psychologist in evidence based practice in individual work and work with other team members
  • To contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice, through active participation in internal and external training and development programs, in consultation with the supervising professionals and team/operations managers
  • Ability to communicate sensitive information to patients, careers and colleagues in a way that addresses psychological resistance
  • To attend all the clinics, educational and patient welfare meetings of the Division of Psychiatry
  • To take active part in tutorials journal clubs and clinical presentation of the Psychology Unit, the Division of Psychiatry and the Department of Medicine
  • To carry out all aspects of duties as specified by the senior psychology staff, mental health team leader, which will meet both the work and training requirements
