Consultant - Pediatric Urology

  • He is governed by the responsibilities outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws.

  • Provides and promotes a high standard quality urological care.

  • Operate in the OR within his approved privileges.

  • Physically present in the OR to assess and supervise his assistant to conduct surgery when his assistant has no approved privileges to carry out the procedure under the category of Solo in the privileges form

  • Expected to be present in the working vicinity during normal working hours

  • To be available for contact at any time while in town.

  • Carries on administrative duties as .ssigned by the Section Head, Chairman of Surgery orth. Executive Director, Medical Services, CR.

  • Continuously upgrades and maintains his academic requirements as well as skills by actively participating in the continuous medical education program in the hospital

  • Attends and participates in all division meetings and other meetings as requested by the Section Head or Chairman of Surgery

  • Encourages to undertake research activities

  • Reports to the Chairman of the Department of Surgery or Executive Director, Medical Services through the Section Head

  • Attend and participate in all Division of Urology academic activities

  • Participates in training and education of his junior staff

  • Actively involves and participates in the ongoing quality management program

  • Responsible for submitting approved TRA by the Section Head, to block his clinic or provide approved coverage by completing the clinic blocking form through the proper chain of command and blocking the OR prior to submitting the TRA to the Chairman for final approval. Ensure approval of proper TRA by the Chairman before going on leave

  • Meets the CME requirements of Saudi specialization

  • Maintains the spirit of the teamwork in the Division of Urology Surgery


  • Graduate from a medical school of good standing

  • Completion of required period of training in specialty and/or subspecialty

  • North American Board Certification or equivalent


  • Total experience training and post-training should be equal to, or more than, seven (7) years. The candidate should have a minimum of two (2) years experience in a tertiary care center in Urology Surgery after certification.

  • Medical Research merits strong consideration

  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals are highly desirable


  • English - Level I: Essential

  • Arabic:  Preferred
