Summary

The Anatomic Pathology Consultant specialized in Breast and Gynecology is responsible for the examination and diagnosis of cellular patterns and tissue to determine any illnesses and develop treatment plans.

Education / Qualification Required:

Post post qualifications from one of the following locations:

  • USA: The American Board Of Anatomic Pathology Sub specialty  Breast and Gynecology - Prefered 
  • Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Anatomic Pathology (FRCPS-C) - Prefered 
  • UK and Ireland: CCST/CCT Certification in Anatomic Pathology - Breast and Gynecology 
  • Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP Anatomic Pathology) or New Zealand College (FRACP Anatomic Pathology)
  • Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above

Basic medical degree from recognized institution 

Experience Post Post-Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years post post qualifications 

License:

Current and clean medical license to practice from North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct gross examinations and provide anatomical pathology services as needed
  • Ensure the proper handling of all samples
  • Examine all samples as requested, conducting all necessary tests accurately
  • Provide thorough written evaluation and diagnosis for each case
  • Participate at some level in ongoing research and development
  • Work collaboratively with other physicians and laboratory staff
  • Maintain compliance with all legal and institutional requirements at all times
