Consultant Hematopathology

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center - Riyadh
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Supervises the work of personnel in the hematopathology section and maintains high quality
    service as required by JCIA and CAP

  • Consults with clinicians regarding patients with hematologic disease

  • Develops new procedures for the diagnosis and follow-up of patients with hematologic diseases

  • Trains and assists personnel in the performance of complex procedures

  • Undertakes all educational activities including resident teaching and presentations in medical

  • Assists in the supervision of the Blood Bank, if and when requested

  • Participates in self and others education, training and development, as applicable

  • Follows all hospital related policies and procedures

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Section Head or Department Chairman

Qualifications Required:

    • Medical Degree (MD) from an accredited university plus appropriate training and
      American Board Certification in Pathology or equivalent

Experience Required:

  • Training and post training experience must be equal to or exceed seven (7) years
