Summary
Responsible for providing strategic direction to the design and implementation of discipline specific and inter-professional education at CCAD. A key function of this role is providing leadership on the utilization and implementation of innovative education systems and processes at the unit, divisional and department/organization levels as well as in community and academic partnerships. Additionally, this position provides leadership and helps set strategic direction for activities related to achieving and sustaining Magnet Program Recognition, including shared governance and evidence based practice initiatives.

Education / Qualification Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing/ Healthcare/Management/ Administration field is required
  • PhD or DNP strongly preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum Eight (8) years of Post Graduate Clinical Experience in an appropriate and relevant Healthcare setting
  • Work experience in a Magnet Institution

License:

  • Current and in Good Standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in country of residence

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensures that nursing education and clinical practice occur in accordance with the philosophy, standards and mission of CCAD
Serves as a representative/consultant regarding clinical education and professional development
Develops relationships with schools of nursing and allied health within the UAE.
Mentor staff in conducting evidence-based practice projects and disseminating findings through presentations and peer reviewed publications
Facilitate staff development programs in evidence-based practice, as well as the Magnet model and recognition program
Assumes responsibility for the organization, coordination and administration of the Magnet Recognition Program
Develops frameworks for professional practice consistent with Magnet standards
Facilitates and monitors the effectives of the structure and process of shared governance councils.
Provides strategic direction related to the measurement of clinician engagement that meets the requirements of the Magnet program
Identifies risks, through both formal and informal methods, and collaborates with clinical leadership to develop strategies to mitigate and reduce risk
Promotes a culture of shared accountability within a framework of inter-professional practice
Collaborates with quality personnel in the data collection and analysis of nurse sensitive indicators
Provides leadership to quantify the business impact (e.g., investment, cost, savings, ROI, etc.) of Magnet and accreditation initiatives and programs
Develops and facilitates programs that promote the inter-professional practice through the recognition of each profession’s unique contribution to positive patient outcomes
Promotes and facilities opportunities for clinical innovation that evidence based and conducive to positive patient outcomes
Creates a culture of continuous learning through strategic planning, shared governance, innovative practice updates, and the promotion of knowledge development; provides resources for and establishes expectations that managers and supervisors will act as stewards of employees’ professional development.
