We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic and passionate candidate whom will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process and meeting the established standard of nursing practice and performance.


A registered professional nurse who provides comprehensive nursing care to patients and families in the clinical specialty of pain management. The Pain Management Nurse has advanced skills in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare workers to develop pain management plans of care based on individual needs. The pain management nurse has advanced Skills in pain management, patient and family education, staff education, and program development

Education / Qualifications Required:

  • MS Degree in Nursing
  • BS Degree in Nursing


  • Minimum Four (4) years of nursing experience if holding MS Degree including two (2) Years of Leadership Experience
  • Minimum Six (6) years of nursing experience if holding BS Degree including two (2) Years of Leadership Experience
  • Experience in Obstetrical  is a must


  • Current and in Good Standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in country of residence

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs his/her duties and tasks as per Hospital Policy and Agreement on Professional Code Of Conduct.
  • Actively participates in all quality and performance improvement activities within the department/service and within the hospital as per Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan
  • Actively participates in all the education requirement and activities as per the Hospital Education Program.
  • Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the scope of practice and employment contract.
  • Demonstrates problem solving critical thinking skills ensuring effective functioning of job performance
  • Liaise with the Department of Anesthesia and Nursing Administration in monitoring standards of care relating to pain management, developing and reviewing appropriate policies, procedures. and guidelines and amending accordingly.
  • Acts as a patient staff advocate through the promotion and maintenance of ethical standards in pain management
  • Participates in staff/unit/departmental meetings and committees/proceeds as required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge Of and the ability to render care and services based on needs, age appropriateness and developmental stage of patients.
  • Organizes and be involved in pain management education lectures/study days/discussions and development of competencies in cooperation with the Nursing Clinical Instructors and Department of Anesthesia.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills.
  • Provides excellent customer service.
  • Provides comprehensive assessment and management for patients who are consulted for the pain service.
  • Perform daily patient rounds. evaluate pain management therapy and identify actual and potential side effects related to therapy.
