Summary
Responsible for the diagnosis, manage and treatment in disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves.
Education/Qualifications Required:
- Basic medical degree from recognized institution
- Post-qualification certification
- Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
- USA: The American Board of Neurology
- Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPC – Neurology)
- UK and Ireland: CCT/CCST Specialist Register – Neurology
- Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP – Neurology)
- Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above
- Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
Experience Post-Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience post-board/equivalent certification in Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland (CCST), United Kingdom (CCT) Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden OR Switzerland,
- Sub-Specialties: Minimum of two (2) years of experience post-sub-specialty certification in Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, or the UK.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience after obtaining the main specialty qualification in United Kingdom (CESR) Portugal, Spain, or Italy.
- Sub-Specialties: Minimum of four (4) years of experience after obtaining the sub-specialty qualification in Portugal, Spain, or Italy.
License:
- Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high consultation quality services to Neurology patients clientele.
- Provide consultation services to the patient as requested.
- Supervise Neurology’ of lower grades, with particular reference to staff physicians
- Teach and supervise Neurology residents lower in the grades in Neurology Residency Program.
- Participate in and departmental initiate and hospital teaching activities.
- Participate in and initiate research activities
- Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed
- Maintain a list of privileges, and work within administrative the confines functions of that perimeter.
- Understand and the adhere quality to all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to Department medical of practice.
- Participate in the quality improvements and reviews conducted by the department of Neurology
- Perform Other Related duties as appropriate and as assigned
- Undertake other continuing related duties medical as education appropriate and activities.
