Summary

Within the mission, vision and values of Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs, in close collaboration with medical and other healthcare team members demonstrates advanced nursing knowledge and applies this knowledge to the assessment, diagnosis, delivery and design of nursing care and interventions in the outpatient department. Function under a collaborative management model where Medicine and Nursing jointly participate in decisions.

Education/Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience Post-Qualifications:

  • Minimum Two (2) years of clinical experience post qualification
  • Minimum One (1) year in the oupatient unit

License:

Current and in good Standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in country of residence

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform focused patient assessments including vital signs, medical history updates, and medication reconciliation.
  • Prepare patients for physician evaluation and assist during examinations and minor procedures.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments within the scope of the Registered Nurse license.
  • Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, suture removal, ECGs, specimen collection, and IV therapy when required.
  • Monitor patients following procedures and identify adverse reactions promptly.
  • Provide patient education on diagnoses, medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow up care.
  • Coordinate diagnostic testing, referrals, and follow up appointments.
  • Support chronic disease management clinics such as diabetes, hypertension, or anticoagulation services when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Ensure safe clinic flow and patient triage according to urgency.
  • Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control standards in the ambulatory setting.
  • Participate in emergency response within the outpatient department when required.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving patient access, safety, and satisfaction.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  • Demonstrate accountability, professional communication, and effective teamwork within a fast paced clinic environment.
