Summary

Within the mission, vision and values of Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, delivery of pediatric anesthesia and related services to the patients of the KASCH, Jeddah appropriate to their expertise, work experience, language and computer skills under the responsibility of the Chairman of the Department of Pediatric Hematology Transfusion Medicine

Education/Qualifications Required:

  1. Basic medical degree from recognized institution
  2. Post-qualification certification
    • Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.  
      • USA: The American Board of Pediatric Hematology Transfusion Medicine (AMP)
      • Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPC – Pediatric Hematology Transfusion Medicine )
      • UK and Ireland: CCT/CCST Specialist Register -Pediatric Hematology Transfusion Medicine
      • Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP – Pediatric Hematology Transfusion Medicine )
      • Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above

Experience Post-Qualifications:

  • Minimum Three (3) years after board / equivalence certification in USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand and France (DES)
  • Minimum Five (5) years after board / equivalence certification in Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, Netherlands, Greece and France (DIS).

License:

Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Provide high consultation quality services to Hematology Transfusion Medicine patients clientele.
  • Provide consultation services to the patient as requested.
  •  Supervise Hematology Transfusion Medicine of lower grades, with particular reference to staff physicians 
  •  Teach  and supervise Hematology Transfusion Medicine residents lower in the grades in Hematology Transfusion Medicine Residency Program. 
  • Participate in and departmental initiate and hospital teaching activities.
  • Participate in and initiate research activities
  • Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed
  •  Maintain a list of privileges, and work within administrative the confines functions of that perimeter.
  • Understand and the adhere quality to all  hospital  policies and procedures pertaining to Department medical of practice.
  • Participate in the quality improvements and reviews conducted by the department of Hematology Transfusion Medicine
  •  Perform Other Related duties as appropriate and as assigned 
  • Undertake other continuing related duties medical as education appropriate and activities.
