Summary

Responsible for evaluation and management of patients, particularly in the field of Pediatric Surgery.

Education/Qualifications Required:

  1. Basic medical degree from recognized institution
  2. Post-qualification certification
    • Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
      • USA: The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
      • Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (RCPS-C)
      • UK and Ireland: GMC/CCST Specialist Register
      • Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP)
      • Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above

Experience Post-Qualifications:

  • Years of training in specialty or subspecialty plus postgraduate training experience must be equal to or exceed seven (7) years’ experience in the subspecialty.

License:

Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides high quality patient care in all aspects of Pediatric Surgery according to his/her approved clinical privileges.
  • Provides consultative service as requested.
  • Actively participates in the training and teaching of residents in his/her area of expertise.
  • Participates in and promotes research activities.
  • Shares on-call schedule for the Section as needed.
  • Participants in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
  • Participants in self and others’ education, training and development, as applicable.
  • Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
