Education/Qualifications Required:
- Basic medical degree from recognized institution
- Post-qualification certification
- Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
- USA: The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
- Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (RCPS-C)
- UK and Ireland: GMC/CCST Specialist Register
- Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP)
- Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above
- Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
Experience Post-Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Training mainly on Adult Genetics/Metabolic genetics in addition to prenatal genetics
- Arabic/English speaking physician.
License:
Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Training and experience in Adult Genetics/Metabolic Genetics and Prenatal Genetics
- Strong knowledge of genetic and metabolic disorders, including diagnosis, management, and treatment
- Ability to work with patients of all ages, including pregnant women and newborns
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Diagnosing and treating genetic and metabolic disorders in patients of all ages, including newborns, children, adults, and pregnant women
- Performing comprehensive genetic assessments, including family history and physical examination
- Ordering and interpreting genetic tests and laboratory results
- Providing genetic counseling and support to patients and their families
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex medical conditions
- Keeping up-to-date with advances in genetics and metabolic disorders, and incorporating new treatments and technologies into clinical practice
- Participating in research and educational activities to advance the field of clinical genetics and metabolic disorders.
