Senior Specialist (Rehabilitation Medicine)

Education/Qualifications Required:

  • Essential: Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy/Orthotics and Prosthetics or equivalent in one of the applicable medical sciences specialist 
  • Preferred: Master Degree in Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy/Occupational Therapy/Orthotics and Prosthetics or equivalent in one of the applicable medical sciences specialist 
  • Current Registration in country of origin
  • Valid registration from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties
  • Knowledge of Arabic would be beneficial 

Experience Required: 

  • Bachelor: Four (4) years work experience in rehabilitation field
  • Master: Two (2) years work experience in rehabilitation field 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the development of individual assessment and treatment plans. Conceptualizes assessment and treatment plans and contribute during daily sessions to overall development of the case
  • Conducts sessions, coordination of admission or follow-up with client's team, time management, data collection, and protocol development, implementation and review 
  • Trains staff insure protocols are carried out correctly. Provides appropriate and corrective feedback
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to concerns. Provides timely updates to supervisory staff
  • Initiates and maintains contact with disciplines, schools, physicians. Incorporates feedback from other professionals into assessment and treatment plan. Provides timely training to other professionals.
  • Develops data collection system for patients, and staff. Obtains follow-up data in a timely manner
  • Maintains up to date graphs. Organizes and presents data in ways to facilitate interpretation 
  • Anticipates problems and develops alternative strategies for solving problems. Generates solutions independently ad in conjunction with Therapist/Supervisor
  • Demonstrates the ability to appropriately aid the needs of children and adolescents with or without a developmental disability and their families 
  • Writes an official delegation of all responsibilities and assignments prior to leave/vacation
