Responsible for stocking and keeping records of all medications, contrast media, surgical tools and catheters used in the Department.

Education / Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • OR Associate Degree/Diploma or country equivalent + Bachelor’s in Nursing related field

Experience:

  • Experience from North America, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand is required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience, including at least 1 year in a similar role

License:

Current and in good Standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in country of residence

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of organizational mission, vision, and values.
  • Observe, report and record patient reaction to contrast, medication, and procedures
  • Start, adjust, and discontinue routine intravenous injection upon the order of a physician and closely observes the progress of such infusion while the patient is in Radiology Department.
  • Act as liaison between the Radiology and Nursing units to achieve the best patient care to be given.
  • Observe and organizes sterilization of tools and equipment used in special procedures techniques.
  • Check and update emergency crash cart, store medical items, pharmacy items and instruments being used for special procedures.
  • To perform such job-related duties not specifically enumerated in this job description, which may, from time to time, be assigned by supervisors.
  • React to change productively and handle other essential tasks assigned.
  • Comply with the hospital policies and procedures, and in particular infection control, safety, and quality management.
  • Participates as required in the provision of an On-Call/ out of hours Radiology service. This includes involvement in the Radiology Service Roster during vacations.
  • Provide monthly statistical reports detailing patient numbers, patient type, patient satisfaction, and staff utilization.
  • Provide the finance department with monthly report on medical and pharmaceutical consumable usage.
  • Manage medical and pharmaceutical consumable Inventory and creation of purchase orders.
  • Develop and use computer based medical record system in conjunction with IT.
  • Submit annual group work plan based on nursing department strategic plan.
  • Assume or accept any other responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor within the position role and responsibility.
