Education / Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- OR Associate Degree/Diploma or country equivalent + Bachelor’s in Nursing related field
Experience:
- Experience from North America, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand is required.
- Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience, including at least 1 year in a similar role
License:
Current and in good Standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in country of residence
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage nursing resources efficiently to ensure fair workload distribution and match clinical complexity with nursing competency.
- Coordinate daily patient care activities to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality care delivery.
- Provide culturally and religiously appropriate care to patients and families, promoting positive health outcomes.
- Respond quickly to emerging patient needs, solve problems effectively, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Conduct nursing interventions in alignment with hospital policies, procedures, and professional codes of conduct.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and best practices.
- Promote evidence-based practice in patient care and participate in the review of policies and procedures.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Use S.B.A.R. (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) for structured clinical communication.
- Work with nursing supervisors to mentor and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Assist in educational activities and take a leading role in clinical training with the Head Nurse and Nurse Educator.
- Maintain mandatory and core competencies, engaging in professional development to enhance nursing skills.
- Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures, focusing on efficient resource utilization and cost control.
- Uphold QHSSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) standards, maintaining a safe and world-class patient care environment.
