Supervisor - Dental Clinic

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Supervises various activities of Dental Clinics.

  • Assists in determination of staffing needs of the clinic.

  • Coordinates appointment making for various dental situations.

  • Records, manages and assists with staff leave approval.

  • Work as Acting Manager or Assistant Supervisor when they are absent or on leave.

  • Oversees and coordinates Dental Clinic Quality Programs

  • Provides input to Dental Manager for evaluation of ancillary personnel.

  • Monitors compliance of Dental staff and Clinicians to all Dental Clinic & related IPP's. Initiates corrective measures as required.

  • Directs the continuing education program of dental clinic staff.

  • Oversees Dental Assisting training programs.

  • Oversees and coordinates Dental Clinic Quality Programs.

  • Directs the continuing education program of Dental Clinic staff.

  • Plans and oversees orientation of new ancillary personnel.

  • Responsible for the Dental Scorecard.

  • Assists in the preparation of Operational Review stats as directed.

  • Assists in reviewing IPP that are due for updating and preparing clinic specific new ones.

  • Plans and controls daily patient flow in the Dental Clinic.

  • Participates in hospital-wide performance improvement activities.

  • Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures

  • Participates in self and other's education, training and development, as application.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Dental Related discipline 

  • Current BLS Required

  • Certified Dental Assistant Registration from country of origin

Experience Required:

  • Four (4) years of dental assisting experience with Master's Degree or six (6) of dental assisting experience with Bachelors Degree in a tertiary care hospital
