Clinical Resource Nurse
Summary
Within the mission, vision and values of Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs, in close collaboration with medical and other healthcare team members demonstrates advanced nursing knowledge and applies this knowledge to the assessment, diagnosis, delivery and design of nursing care and interventions in the Medical Unit. Function under a collaborative management model where Medicine and Nursing jointly participate in decisions.
Education / Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- OR Associate Degree/Diploma or country equivalent + Bachelor’s in Nursing related field
Experience:
- Experience from North America, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand is required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience post-qualification.
- Minimum of one (1) year in Pain Management or a related specialty.
License:
Current and in good Standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in country of residence
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate advanced clinical expertise in wound and Ostomy Care.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and education to nursing staff and the multidisciplinary team within the department.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans for patients requiring wound and ostomy care, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Act as a resource for evidence-based nursing practice and clinical guidelines related to wound and ostomy care.
- Evaluate patient care outcomes and recommend improvements to achieve optimal results.
- Participate in the development, review, and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and protocols in the Wound & Ostomy Care department.
- Promote staff development by organizing and delivering educational programs, workshops, and in-service training.
- Engage in research activities and encourage evidence-based practice to advance nursing care in wound and ostomy management.
- Assess patient and family education needs and provide resources for effective self-management and discharge planning.
- Advocate for excellence in patient care and ensure respect for patient rights and dignity.
- Ensure compliance with infection control measures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Projects and contribute to departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and satisfaction.
- Assist in the evaluation of systems, workflows, and programs to improve cost-effectiveness and patient outcomes in the Wound & Ostomy Care department.
- Provide consultation and expertise for complex patient cases, serving as a professional role model for staff.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality of patient records in accordance with departmental guidelines.
- Assume responsibility for professional development and remain current with advancements in wound and ostomy care.
