Summary

Responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of critically ill patients with life-threatening conditions. Provides advanced life support, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and ensures optimal patient outcomes.

Education/Qualifications Required:

  1. Basic medical degree from recognized institution
  2. Post-qualification certification
    • Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand  
      • USA: The American Board of Critical Care o
      • Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRACPC – Critical Care)
      • UK and Ireland: CCT/CCST/CESR and joined Specialty Register of Critical Care 
      • Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP) in Critical Care 
      • Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above in Critical Care or in Anesthesia

Experience Post-Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of full-time experience after receiving Board/Equivalent certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience at a Public/Government hospital or Academic Hospital.

License:

  • Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides high quality care to patients in this area of medicine
  • Provides consultative service as requested
  • Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians and residents
  • Actively participate in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise
  • Participates in research activities
  • Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed
  • Performs special procedures as privileged
  • Follows all Hospital-related policies and procedures
