Summary

Within the mission, vision and values of Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs, in close collaboration with medical and other healthcare team members demonstrates advanced nursing knowledge and applies this knowledge to the assessment, diagnosis, delivery and design of nursing care and interventions in the inpatient department. Function under a collaborative management model where Medicine and Nursing jointly participate in decisions.

Education/Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience Post-Qualifications:

  • Minimum Two (2) years of clinical experience post qualification
  • Minimum One (1) year in the inpatient unit

License:

Current and in good Standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in country of residence

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive head to toe patient assessments on admission and throughout hospitalization.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
  • Monitor vital signs, fluid balance, pain levels, and clinical status, reporting changes promptly.
  • Administer medications and IV therapies safely within the scope of the Registered Nurse license.
  • Provide wound care, catheter care, enteral feeding management, and other clinical procedures as required.
  • Monitor patients receiving oxygen therapy, telemetry, or complex medication regimens when applicable.
  • Recognize early signs of deterioration and escalate care according to hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, procedures, and transfers.
  • Participate in discharge planning to promote safe transition of care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and legal documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control standards.
  • Participate in emergency response and code situations within the unit.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and ethical nursing practice.
  • Support junior staff and participate in ongoing clinical education activities.
