Summary

Responsible for the diagnosing and treating skin, hair, and nail conditions in infants, children, and adolescents.

Education / Qualification Required:

  1. Basic medical degree from recognized institution
  2. Post-qualification certification
    • Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.  
      • USA: American Board of Dermatology (ABD)
      • Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPC) – Dermatology
      • UK and Ireland: GMC/CCST Specialist Register in Dermatology 
      • Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP) – Dermatology

Experience Post-Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience post-board/equivalent certification in Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland (CCST), United Kingdom (CCT) Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden OR  Switzerland,
  • Sub-Specialties: Minimum of two (2) years of experience post-sub-specialty certification in Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, or the UK.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience after obtaining the main specialty qualification in United Kingdom (CESR) Portugal, Spain, or Italy.
  • Sub-Specialties: Minimum of four (4) years of experience after obtaining the sub-specialty qualification in Portugal, Spain, or Italy.

License:

  • Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, acne, vascular anomalies, genodermatoses, and infectious dermatoses.
  • Perform inpatient consultations and outpatient clinical visits; conduct dermatologic procedures appropriate for pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate with pediatrics, allergy/immunology, rheumatology, oncology, and other subspecialties to provide integrated care.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on skin care, treatment plans, and preventive measures in a developmentally appropriate manner.
  • Participate in teaching rounds, case conferences, and continuing medical education activities. Involvement in research or clinical trials is encouraged.
  • Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
