Summary

Within the mission, vision and values of Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs, in close collaboration with medical and other healthcare team members demonstrates advanced nursing knowledge and applies this knowledge to the assessment, diagnosis, and delivering of comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care in alignment with established clinical standards.

Education/Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience Post-Qualifications:

  • Experience from North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand is a must.
  • Minimum Two (2) years of clinical experience post qualification
  • Minimum One (1) year in the pediatric department 

License:

Current and in good Standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in country of residence

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform age appropriate physical and psychosocial assessments.
  • Monitor vital signs and recognize early signs of pediatric deterioration.
  • Provide care for common pediatric medical and surgical conditions.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and treatments safely within the scope of the Registered Nurse license.
  • Manage pediatric patients requiring oxygen therapy, nebulization, enteral feeding, or wound care when applicable.
  • Support fluid balance monitoring and pain management.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to pediatric emergencies.
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, surgeons, respiratory therapists, dietitians, and allied health professionals.
  • Provide education to parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis, medications, nutrition, and home care instructions.
  • Support immunization compliance and preventive health education when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
  • Adhere strictly to infection prevention and child safety standards.
  • Participate in emergency response and code situations.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving pediatric outcomes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate cultural sensitivity when working with families.
  • Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and commitment to ongoing pediatric competency development.
