Summary
Within the mission, vision and values of Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs, in close collaboration with medical and other healthcare team members demonstrates advanced nursing knowledge and applies this knowledge to the assessment, diagnosis, delivery and design of nursing care and interventions in the Surgical Inpatient Staff Nurse. Function under a collaborative management model where Medicine and Nursing jointly participate in decisions.
Education/Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Experience Post-Qualifications:
- Minimum Two (2) years of clinical experience post qualification
- Minimum One (1) year in Surgical Inpatient Staff Nurse
License:
Current and in good Standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in country of residence
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate advanced cardiac nursing knowledge and clinical competence in the Surgical Inpatient
- Act as an advisor and resource person within the Surgical Inpatient Staff Nurse,
- Work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary cardiac team within the remit of the Registered Nurse (RN) license to provide comprehensive, specialized cardiac nursing care, including monitoring of telemetry and complex cardiac medications.
- Act as an advisor and resource person for current evidence-based pediatric cardiac nursing practices.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and all members of the Surgical Inpatient Staff Nurse
- Act as an educational resource for clinical staff, mentoring new nurses in cardiac monitoring techniques, pediatric assessment, and stepdown protocols.
- Assess patient and family educational needs regarding cardiac conditions, surgeries, recovery plans, and discharge planning using appropriate resources.
- Demonstrate respect, compassion, and cultural sensitivity to patients and families dealing with complex cardiac illnesses.
- Advocate for excellence in pediatric cardiac patient care and safeguard patient rights at every stage of recovery.
- Lead and participate in the development of nursing initiatives or educational programs aimed at improving pediatric cardiac patient quality, safety, and family education.
- Demonstrate initiative, critical thinking, and proactive patient management with minimal supervision.
