Summary

Provides expert oncology care for adult patients across the full cancer care pathway, including diagnosis, staging, treatment planning, and follow-up. Manages a wide range of solid tumors, with a focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care. The role covers outpatient and inpatient services, including urgent and complex cases, with strong involvement in multidisciplinary team discussions and treatment decisions.

Education/Qualification:

  1. Basic medical degree from recognized institution
  2. Post-qualification certification
    • Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand. 
    • USA: American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) – Medical Oncology Certification
    • Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) – Medical Oncology
    • UK and Ireland: Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT/CCST) – Medical Oncology and GMC/IMC Specialist Register
    • Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) – Medical Oncology
  3. Male Preferred 

Experience:

      • Minimum of two (2) years of experience post-board/equivalent certification in Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland (CCST), United Kingdom (CCT) Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden OR  Switzerland.
      •  Sub-Specialties: Minimum of two (2) years of experience post-sub-specialty certification in Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, or the UK.

License:

  • Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
  • Current BLS/ACLS Certificate

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of oncologic conditions, including solid tumors and hematologic malignancies
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient oncology care, including urgent and complex cases
  • Monitor treatment response and adjust plans based on clinical progress
  • Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary meetings
  • Work closely with surgery, radiology, pathology, radiation oncology, and palliative care teams
  • Contribute to coordinated, patient-focused care plans
  • Supervise and guide junior physicians and medical staff
  • Review and approve treatment protocols and clinical decisions
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Discuss diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis clearly with patients and families
  • Obtain informed consent and support shared decision-making
  • Provide guidance on symptom management and supportive care
  • Follow hospital policies, international oncology guidelines, and best practices
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Report and manage adverse events appropriately
  • Contribute to teaching and mentoring of residents and fellows
  • Participate in clinical research, audits, and continuous medical education
  • Stay current with advances in oncology treatments and standards
  • Support departmental goals and service development
  • Assist with accreditation and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in on-call rota as required
