Emergency Medicine – Staff Nurse
We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic and passionate candidate whom will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process and meeting the established standard of nursing practice and performance.
Summary
Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process and meeting the established standard of nursing practice and performance. Demonstrates leadership competencies while in charge or acting as shift resource/team leader.
Education / Qualification Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Experience:
- Experience from North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand is a must
- Two (2) years of nursing experience in Emergency Medicine
License:
- License from North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand is a must.
- Current and in good Standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in country of residence
- Current BLS/ACLS required
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced nursing care and demonstrate clinical competence in Emergency Medicine.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team within the scope of the Registered Nurse (RN) license to deliver evidence-based care.
- Act as an advisor and resource person within the Emergency Medicine Unit, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of best practices.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Serve as a patient advocate and maintain confidentiality of all patient records and documentation.
- Assess and address patient and family educational needs and discharge planning requirements.
- Actively participate in teaching, mentoring, and precepting nursing and multidisciplinary team members.
- Lead and engage in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects.
- Maintain infection control measures and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
- Develop, review, and implement clinical practice guidelines, policies, and procedures to enhance patient care.
- Demonstrate respect, cultural sensitivity, and compassion for patients, families, and colleagues.
- Function as a professional role model, consultant, and educator, taking responsibility for personal professional development.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
