Summary
Responsible for assists with the different cardiac procedures in the cath lab, ranging from basic diagnostic procedures to more complex interventions
Education / Qualification:
- BS Degree in Nursing or Equivalent from Accredited University obtained through personal attending study method (not distant learning or on-line study method)
Experience Post Qualifications:
- Minimum Two (2) years of experience on a Cath Lab Unit
License
- Current and in good Standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in country of residence
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs complete documentation and hemodynamic monitoring of patients during procedures
- Assists physicians during catheterization procedures and in the interpretation of special and complex invasive imaging procedures
- Functions as a clinical and technical resource to laboratory personnel
- Meets the pre and post procedures care of patients, which may include patient education
- Performs maintenance and quality assurance monitoring of equipment devices in the laboratory
- Maintains a positive interaction with medical device vendors
- Cooperates with cardiology engineers in the upkeep and quality assurance of radiographic, hemodynamic and other equipment
