Pediatric Endocrinology Consultant
Summary
Responsible for the management of pediatric patients with endocrine and metabolic diseases.
Education/Qualifications Required:
- Basic medical degree from recognized institution
- Post-qualification certification
- Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
- USA: The American Board of Pediatric Endocrinology (ABP)
- Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPC -Pediatric Endocrinology )
- UK and Ireland: CCT/CCST – Pediatric Endocrinology
- Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP – Pediatric Endocrinology )
- Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above
- Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
Experience Post-Qualifications:
- Minimum Three (3) years after board/equivalent certification in USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand and France (DES).
- Minimum Five (5) years after board/equivalent certification in Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, Netherlands, Greece and France (DIS).
License:
Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides quality medical care for pediatric patients with endocrine and metabolic diseases
- Provides consultative service to other institutions as required
- Participates in the department’s educational activities and training programs for House Staff
- Participates in research activities
- Performs administrative duties as assigned and other duties as needed
- Shares on-call schedule for Pediatric Department as needed
- Performs other duties as needed
