Summary

Within the mission, vision and values of Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, delivery of pediatric anesthesia and related services to the patients of KSSH appropriate to their expertise, work experience, language and computer skills under the responsibility of the Chairman of the Department of Pediatric Hematology Oncology

Education/Qualifications Required:

  1. Basic medical degree from recognized institution
  2. Post-qualification certification
    • Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.  
      • USA: The American Board of Pediatric Hematology Oncology(AMP)
      • Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPC – Pediatric Hematology Oncology )
      • UK and Ireland: CCT/CCST Specialist Register -Pediatric Hematology Oncology)
      • Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP – Pediatric Hematology Oncology)
      • Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above

Experience Post-Qualifications:

  • Minimum Three (3) years after board/equivalent certification in USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand and France (DES).
  • Minimum Five (5) years after board/equivalent certification in Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, Netherlands, Greece and France (DIS).

License:

  • Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
  • Current BLS/ACLS Certificate

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As Most Responsible Physician ( MRP) of patients admitted under his/her name, ensure optimal care of those patients 
  • Undertake outpatient, inpatient and operating duties with punctuality and in professional manner
  • Cooperate with other consultants . Section Heads and Chairman in Day- to- day department affairs including morbidity/ mortality and quality improvement activities 
  • Ensure that all middle grade and junior staff in the team carry out their duties appropriately. Teaches and guides them in all aspects of surgical care.
  • Responsible for timely completion of medical records and also the quality of the records
  • Undertake duties as assigned by section head and chairman 
  • Partakes in committee duties as requested or nominated, representing section head when requested 
  • Organizes academic and teaching activities as necessary
  • Responsible for Associate and Assistant Consultants, Staff Surgeons Residents and interns on the team.
  • Liaises with other consultants and senior staff as indicated 
  • Perform other job related duties
