Summary:

This is a unique executive vacancy for an Executive Operating Officer at one of the most prestigious Health Systems in one of the GCC Countries (Bahrain, Saudi Arabia , United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait).  The role requires to oversees the delivery of the future organization by developing and implementing the future Strategy, delivering on the transformation program, and building brand and relationships. Promotes extensive collaboration and integration across identified functions to drive organization forward in a changing healthcare ecosystem.

Education:

    • PhD or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or other related discipline is required.

Experience:

    • At least F0ifteen (15) years of operations experience with minimum of Five (5) years of experience as a Chief Operations Officer or equivalent in a large organization is required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develops and implements operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize the hospital’s efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization
    • Provides inputs, sets direction, guides and monitors to improve workflows and standards to improve operational efficiency.
    • Maintaining a safe, secure, and well-functioning hospital environment for patients, staff, and visitors
    • Ensures all support services meet or exceed quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction standards.
    • Optimize resource utilization, including personnel, equipment, supplies, and facilities.
    • Maintains control over assigned services/function’s programs by ensuring effective utilization of Hospital resources.
    • Creates and maintains effective communication channels to facilitate direction of Hospital operations throughout the Hospital.
    • Advises and oversees vendor contracts for outsourced support services.
    • Oversees the hospital’s safety and emergency preparedness programs, ensuring the facility is equipped to respond effectively to any critical incidents.
    • Analyze operational metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
    • Provide strategic direction, guide, set objectives that will be cascaded to the lower levels, while managing their performance, and providing ongoing support, to ensure the achievement of the hospital’s goals.
    • Provide strategic direction for the development and implementation of divisional policies and systems in order to ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
    • Drive operational excellence improvement initiatives and motivate employees to constantly identify areas for improvement on systems, processes and practices, in order to enhance the hospital effectiveness.
    • Ensures the timely preparation of an annual operating budget for all assigned services/functions, monitors and keeps expenditures within budget.
    • Prepares periodic progress reports of implementation plans, programs, and achievements and presents them to the Management.
    • Works on improving operational efficiency, quality of services, and productivity in accordance with the approved plans and established policies and bylaws.
    • Oversees selecting, recruiting, learning, retaining and evaluating subordinates. Recommends appointments, terminations, recontracts and promotion of staff, as necessary.
    • Chairs and/or serves as member of committees/task forces as assigned.
    • Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.
    • Participates in self and others’ education, training and development, as applicable.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
