Critical Care Consultant

Education/Qualifications Required:
- Basic medical degree from recognized institution
- Post-qualification certification
- Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
- USA: The American Board of Critical Care
- Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPC – Critical Care )
- UK and Ireland: CCT/CCST Specialist Register -Critical Care
- Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP -Critical Care )
- Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above
- Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
Experience Post-Qualifications:
- Minimum Three (3) years experience in leadership position
- Minimum Three (3) years after board / equivalence certification in USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand and France (DES)
License:
Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high consultation quality services Critical Care to patients clientele.
- Provide consultation services to the patient as requested.
- Supervise Critical Caret’ of lower grades, with particular reference to staff physicians
- Teach and supervise Critical Care residents lower in the grades in Critical Care Residency Program.
- Participate in and departmental initiate and hospital teaching activities.
- Participate in and initiate research activities
- Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed
- Maintain a list of privileges, and work within administrative the confines functions of that perimeter.
- Understand and the adhere quality to all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to Department medical of practice.
- Participate in the quality improvements and reviews conducted by the department of Critical Care
- Perform Other Related duties as appropriate and as assigned
- Undertake other continuing related duties medical as education appropriate and activities.
