Summary

Within the mission, vision and values of Saudi Arabian National Guard – Health Affairs, to provide patient care; education and training for Associate Consultants, Assistant Consultants and Neurology Residents, Medicine residents, National Guard physicians; supervise clinics, monitor quality improvement program; undertake clinical research; self education and participate in on-calf schedule of the Division of Hematology Oncology.

Education / Qualification Required:

  1. Basic medical degree from recognized institution
  2. Post-qualification certification
    • Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.  
      • USA: The American Board of Hematology and Oncology (ABHO)
      • Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPC Hematology Oncology )
      • UK and Ireland: CCT/CCST Hematology Oncology
      • Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP Hematology Oncology )
      • Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above

Experience Post-Qualifications:

  • Minimum Three (3) years after board / equivalence certification in USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand and France (DES).
  • Minimum Five (5) years after board / equivalence certification in Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, Netherlands, Greece and France (DIS).

License:

  • Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
  • Current BLS/ ACLS Certificate 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform Bone marrow harvest procedures and supervise junior physicians for this procedure.
    • Supervise stem cells collection and infusion.
    • Approves all required documents for stem cells mobilization, stem cells collection and infusion.
    • Approves clearance for stem cells donation and stem cells transplant. Prescribe and administer medications (chemotherapeutic agents).
    • Participate in the department / division administrative meetings.
    • Participate in the department / division educational activities (journal club, tumor board, lectures, etc.)
    • Participate in the department / division research activities.
    • Participate in the hospital / department committees upon request.
    • To supervise the sub consultant physicians.
    • Participate in training and education of rotating fellows, residents and junior staff members.
    • Perform and cover other duties as delegated by the chairman or division head.
    • Adhere strictly to all hospital policies and procedures.
    • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
