Pediatric Urology Consultant

Summary
To exercise the highest possible standard Of patient care according to the clinical privileges and available resources, and participate in the training and teaching program of the hospital.
Education / Qualification Required:
- Basic medical degree from a recognized institution
- Post-qualification certification
- Qualification Source from North America, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand.
- USA: The American Board of Pediatric Urology (ABP)
- Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPS – Pediatric Urology )
- UK and Ireland: GMC/CCST Specialist Register – Pediatric Urology
- Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College – Pediatric Urology (FRACP)
- Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above
- Qualification Source from North America, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand.
- Strong experience and knowledge in Pediatric Urology is a MUST
Experience Post-Qualifications:
- Minimum Five (5) years experience in Pediatric Urology after board/equivalent certification
License:
- Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
- BLS/ACLS
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs duties and as per Hospital Policy and Agreement on Professional Code of Conduct.
- Actively participates in all quality and performance improvement activities within the department’ service and within the hospital as per Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan.
- Actively participates in all the education requirement and activities as the Hospital Education Program.
- Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the scope of practice and employment contract.
- Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws. Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department.
- Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care tor the patients for whom he/she is responsible.
- Carries out full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical duties as assigned by the Consultant: lead of Division in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.
- Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department.
- Teaches staff assigned for training purposes and participates will) the Director of department/Division Head and Director of Post Graduate and Academic Affairs in planning a programme of career development for trainees.
- Participates in the Improvement of quality of patient care (Total Quality Management Programme. Quality Assessment Improvement Programme) as applicable.
- Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council ‘Or Health Specialties with regard to continuing medical education.
- Participates in and/or activity supports approved research projects.
- Deputizes for his superior as required and shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues.
- Strives to improve his clinical expertise well as standard of practice with regard to morbidity and cost effectiveness,
- Participates in the forward planning and further development of the department.
- Serves on hospital committees as requested.
- Participates in the Major Disaster Plan of the hospital. as indicated.
