3D Printing Specialist

Education / Qualification Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree of Science, Allied healthcare, Clinical Engineering /Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Post graduate certified training on medical 3D printing, including design, segmentation, reconstruction and processing.

Experience Post-Qualifications:

• Minimum Six (6) years Medical 3D printing experience, including design, segmentation, reconstruction and processing.

License:

• Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate 3d printing unit, promote innovation through new technologies including VR and 3D printing, and programing skills.
• 3D CAD: Designing, repairing, and modifying 3D CAD data (advance level).Anatomical reconstruction
• To perform topology & stress simulation & analysis to optimize 3D printed models.
•  To have a good background in anatomy, and using CT/MRI/US images for segmentation.
• Advance knowledge on medical segmentation software to extract tumors and tissues of interest.
• Finishing: Assembling, painting, sanding, enhancing a 3D model.
• Scheduling: Managing multiple materials, shipments, machines, orders, etc
• Material Handling.
• Designs and implements scientific protocols/procedures to ensure the high-throughput facility functions efficiently and on-budget.
• Tests, calibrates and maintains 3d printers to ensure proper functioning, and adherence to best practice.
• Test new products involving medical imaging and/or 3D reformations and post-processing
• Work closely with the physician on complex medical imaging procedures, 3D reformations, and post processing procedures 14. Provide 3D Print designs specifically aimed at 3D prints of anatomic structures, surgical cutting guides, and radiological phantoms, implantable metallic and PEEK and other novel applications as discovered and necessary.
• Provides training to new and existing users.
• Soft Skills: Logical thinking, problem-solving, etc.
• Keeps up to date with new techniques and scientific literature concerning high throughput technology.
• Printer Maintenance: Routine cleaning and calibrations of additive manufacturing equipment.
• Follows all 3D laboratory safety rules and regulations.
• Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
• Participates in self and others’ education, training and development, as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
