Family Medicine Consultant
Summary
Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions, as well as the provision of medical care in the field of Radiology in accordance with the current medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and the Organization policies and procedures in Saudi Arabia
Education / Qualification Required:
- Basic medical degree from recognized institution
- Post-qualification certification
- Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
- USA: The American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)
- Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPS or CCFP – Family Medicine )
- UK and Ireland: CCT/CCST Specialist Register -Family Medicine
- Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College – Family Medicine (FRACP)
- Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above
- Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
Experience Post-Qualifications:
- Minimum Three (3) years after board / equivalence certification in USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand and France (DES).
- Minimum Five (5) years after board / equivalence certification in Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, Netherlands, Greece and France (DIS).
License:
- Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides high standard patient care according to principles and practices of Family Medicine under the guidance and supervision of a consultant when required.
- A minimum of 70% of the time spent in direct patient care.
- Provides consultation services to other physicians within the center during the regular work and determine final patient care plan.
- Actively participates in the quality improvement program of FM&PHC.
- Takes full responsibilities of the center/department and hospital’s administrative tasks that are assigned. This may Include the center/department or hospital standing and ad-hoc committees or representation of the department on committees and/or activities outside the center.
- Participates in scientific research and contribute to the center’s educational activities and postgraduate training programs as per the Department Policies and Procedures (DPPs).
- Regularly participates in educational activities in order to acquire new skills and knowledge and to support career advancements and to maintain registration in Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
