Summary

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions, as well as the provision of medical care in the field of Pediatrics Dentistry in accordance with the current medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and the Organization policies and procedures in Saudi Arabia

Education/Qualifications Required:

  1. Basic medical degree from recognized institution
  2. Post-qualification certification
    • Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.  
      • USA: The American Board of Periodontics Dentistry
      • Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPC – Pediatrics Dentistry)
      • UK and Ireland: CCT/CCST Specialist Register – Pediatrics Dentistry
      • Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP – Pediatrics  Dentistry)
      • Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above

Experience Post-Qualifications:

  • Minimum Three (3) years after board / equivalence certification in USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand and France (DES)
  • Minimum Five (5) years after board / equivalence certification in Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, Netherlands, Greece and France (DIS).

License:

Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide periodontal examination and interpretation of radiographs
  • Provide consultation as required.
  • Provide other mode of treatment in various dental discipline.
  • Effectively communicate with other divisional and auxiliary staff members,
  • Participate in oral health preventive program in dentistry.
  • Participate in outreach program for public health education.
  • Supervise Dental Hygienists
  • Perform all surgical implant (s) based on his/her formal training and privileging.
  • Provide administrative services within the department as required
  • Perform other job related duties as directed by the Section Head of Dental Services.

  • Participate in research as required
  • Participate as clinical and didactic Instructor in Pediatric Dentistry in all training programs as required.
  • Assumes responsibility for own professional growth.
