The Research Centre focuses on basic and transplant research primarily in: cancer treatment, cardiovascular diseases, transplant immunology program, genetics, molecular diagnostics and proteomics. The Surgery Department comprises of six (6) sections namely orthopedics, Plastic, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology and General Surgery which includes Laparoscopic Surgery, Transplant Surgery, Breast Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Upper GI and Endocrine Surgery. It performs almost 6000 cases per year.

The Surgery Department is an seeking exceptionally talented, adventurous and enthusiastic Chairman to enrich and direct their team of consultants. The immediate need is for an Consultant in Surgery with experience in a leadership head or chair position.

Job Summary: The Chair is expected to provide leadership of the department and to oversee the departmental strategic planning so as to improve the quality of the clinical, educational, and research programs. He/She is responsible for the overall management of his/her department staff as stipulated in the Employee Relations Manual and the Medical Staff bylaws. He/She serves as an advocate for the department’s interests.
