King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH&RC), ranking #1 in the region, is a state-of-the-art 500+ bed tertiary care and referral hospital facility located in the heart of Jeddah, a major urban centre and the second largest city after Riyadh. Neuroradiology Position at King Faisal Specialty HospitalAccredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), this hospital is the national referral center for Oncology, Organ Transplantation, Cardiovascular Diseases, Neurosciences and Genetic Diseases. KFSH&RC also plays a big role in providing secondary and primary health care services to the local community. The Research Centre focuses on basic and transplant research primarily in: cancer treatment, cardiovascular diseases, transplant immunology program, genetics, molecular diagnostics and proteomics. The Hospital publishes bi-monthly general medical journal, the Annals of Saudi Medicine, distributed worldwide. KFSH&RC Jeddah is undergoing an expansion project to increase to a 1000 bed facility and add new dedicated units and departments.

The Surgery Department comprises of six (6) sections namely orthopedics, Plastic, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology and General Surgery which includes Laparoscopic Surgery, Transplant Surgery, Breast Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Upper GI and Endocrine Surgery. It performs almost 6000 cases per year.

The Surgery Department is an seeking exceptionally talented, adventurous and enthusiastic Chairman to enrich and direct their team of consultants. The immediate need is for an Consultant in Surgery with experience in a leadership head or chair position.

Job Summary: The Chair is expected to provide leadership of the department and to oversee the departmental strategic planning so as to improve the quality of the clinical, educational, and research programs. He/She is responsible for the overall management of his/her department staff as stipulated in the Employee Relations Manual and the Medical Staff bylaws. He/She serves as an advocate for the department’s interests. Qualifications Required: American Board Certification (or equivalent from: Canada, Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand) 10 years of experience post Board Certification Administrative experience as Chairman/Deputy Chairman/Head of Medical Service or similar position should be a minimum of (5) years Must have teaching and research accomplishments in a reputable university Current License to practice from country of origin Please click here for a job description.
