Supervisor Physiotherapy
We are looking for hard-working & adventurous allied health who wish to advance their careers by joining overseas hospitals to gain international experience.
Summary
Responsible for supervises daily activities within an assigned area of rehabilitative services.
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy.
- Graduate from an accredited Diploma course in Physiotherapy, (NLT 3 year’s syllabus).
- Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Services or in related clinical degree or in Healthcare
field or management or administration field
Experience:
- Minimum Ten (10) years relevant experience including at least Two (2) years of demonstrated leadership
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Leads or assists the Physiotherapy team/section of the team to provide an efficient and
effective high-quality service/s to a designated area/s. - Involves in the proposal/development and implementation of department/section policies
and guidelines - Facilitates and co-coordination projects and teams to ensure optimal, measureable and
sustainable implementation plans (strategic, financial, quality/patient safety,
accessibility/marketing, manpower/cultural diversity, risk, infection control,
equipment/technology) for effective and efficient business and clinical practice and patient
satisfaction - Manages the allocated members of the physiotherapy team including objective setting,
appraisals, skill and equipment competency and training, duty rosters, annual leave,
supervision and reflective practice and the delegation of tasks, etc - Ensures self and reporting staff members are aware and aligned with vision, mission, values,
national licensing, organizational & departmental policies, clinical guidelines, mandatory
competencies (e.g. Basic Life Support, Infection Control, Fire Safety, etc) and SSMC
compliance guidelines (as below) - Manages clinical and environmental risk identification and risk and incident management for
designated area/s - Coordinates and having signatory powers in conjunction with the department manager on
purchases and budget spending if requested - Determines and have clinical expertise in assigned specialist area/s
- Maintains effective teaching skills and experience for facilitation of staff development
- Ensures the delivery of high standard of specialized clinical care of patient’s in the designated
area/areas, including own caseload and supporting and facilitating other members of the
physiotherapy team to do likewise. Use evidence-based practice and appropriate external
collaboration to guide informed consent, assessment, goal setting/treatment planning,effective treatment, evaluation/re-evaluation of outcomes and appropriate
progression/discharge planning - Maintains effective communication for clinical and operational purposes including effective
conflict management - Assists in the enforcement of up-to-date clinical and professional knowledge development,
according to organizational requirements (e.g. minimum of CPD / CME hours per year
required for re-licensing)
Accountabilities
- Clinical and operational performance measurement (safety, efficiency, effectiveness and
satisfaction) and management for Physiotherapy - Commissioning (project management) and continuous quality improvement of new/current
service lines/specialties - Human resource management/staff performance and development as well as adaptation and
change management in a rapidly changing environment - Knowledge and experience with the implementation of Occupational Safety & Health for the
team/department and maintenance of environmental safety
